Region Project

1st in my list is

the “COLOURS FOR CHARITY” - ONE WISH ONE HOPE which in aid of National Kidney Foundation Malaysia. In this donation drive, each contribution of RM2 will entitle the donor to write a wish to their loved ones on the ribbon which will later be pasted on an outline of LEO and NKF logo during the closing ceremony of this project during the International Leo Day in December 2006. In conjunction with this campaign, NKF will be providing Kidney Awareness Talks at school that participate in this campaign as an educational health project. LEO & NKF Donation Drive


Duration:
1st Sept 2006 ~ 15th November 2006


Introduction:
Leo Clubs from the Klang Valley will jointly organise a fundraising project in aid of the National Kidney Foundation of Malaysia. There are currently 24 LEO Clubs in Klang Valley with about 600 members. A donation drive which will run from Sept 2006 ~ 15th November 2006 will be carried out by each LEO Club within its own local community.

Mechanism of the Project:
1) Each LEO Club will perform the donation drive at its respective local community.
2) Each member will be given one collection card to record the detail of the contribution.
3)One coordinator will be appointed for each LEO Club to in charge of the charity campaign performed by its club member. The responsibilities of the Coordinator are as below:
Coordinator is responsible to do reconciliation on the total cash received vs the records on the collection card submitted by members.
Bank in donation into NKF bank account on weekly basis.
Prepare detailed report on the contribution to be submitted to NKF for reconciliation on monthly basis.
4)Tax exemption receipt (upon request) will be issue for CASH donation amount greater than RM10. Donor need to fill up a separate donation form for the issuance of the tax exemption receipt (do not record again on the collection card).
5)Prizes will be given to the 5 clubs that record the highest donations.


Launching of Project:
1)Official launching of the project can go coincide with a Kidney Disease Prevention Talk.
2)The talk can be held at a school hall.


Closing of Project
1)To have a mock cheque ceremony at a complex (venue to be confirmed) in conjunction with other community project for the underprivileged.
2)To announce the total donation collected during the donation drive.
3)To present prizes to the club with the top 5 highest donation for ribbons.
